Changing RSS reader settings
Press the Menu soft key and select Options to access the
following options:
• Folder update setting: You can change the settings for folder or feed
updates.
• All update setting: You can change the settings for the all of the
folders.
• Page option: You can change the Deleted expired page, Use
automatic deletion and Max pages displayed.
• Proxy: You can change the proxy settings for the channel.
• Connections: You can select a network type your device will use for
feed updates.
• About: Allows you to view the software details for the RSS Reader.
Speed Dial
You can assign a short cut number to a phone number for speed
dialing or to an e-mail or URL address for quick access. This
options displays the newly added Speed Dial entries.
1. On the Home screen, select Start ➔ More ➔ Applications ➔
More ➔ Speed Dial and press the key.
2. Press the Menu soft key and select Run or Go soft key.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to change, add or
deleted an entry.
Task Manager
Your phone is a multi-tasking device. It can run more than one
program at the same time. However, multi-tasking may cause
hang-ups, freezing, memory problems, and additional power
consumption. To avoid these problems, end unnecessary
programs using Task Manager.
To open Task Manager:
On the Home screen, press and hold . You can also select
Start ➔ More ➔ Applications ➔ More ➔ Task Manager and press
the key. The list of all the programs currently running on
your phone displays.
Managing running programs
• To activate a program, press the Menu soft key and select Switch To.
• To close a program, press the End Task soft key. To close all programs,
press the Menu soft key and select End All Tasks.
• To refresh the program list, press the Menu soft key and select
Refresh.
WikiMobile
With WikiMobile, you gain access to all 2 million Wikipedia
articles, including pictures and quick facts. Bookmark your
favorites for quick and easy tracking. Being a walking
encyclopedia is now at your fingertips.
To Start WikiMobile
1. On the Home screen, select Start ➔ More ➔ Applications ➔
More ➔ WikiMobile and press the key.
2. The WikiMobile home screen displays.
The following main menu items are available:
• Search: key in the name of anything you would like to search on.
The last five searches are saved for easy access.
• Random Article: a random article from Wikipedia will be
displayed.
• Popular: allows you to see the most accessed subjects. This list is
updated regularly.
• My Bookmarks: you can store up to 25 bookmarks to your
favorite Wikipedia articles. Create a bookmark by selecting
Menu ➔ Add Bookmark while viewing an article.
• More: allows you to access Help, Disclaimers, GFDL, and About.
Office
Office Mobile® is an application that gives you functionality for
files created in Microsoft Word®, Microsoft Excel®, and Microsoft
PowerPoint®. This allows you the flexibility of downloading files
to a storage device or your phone, and accessing them.
Functionality and formatting is limited, however, and the files are
best used for reference or for limited editing or updating. You
cannot create a file using the Office Mobile® suite.
To Start Office
You can access Office Mobile using the following procedure.
1. Start ➔ More ➔ Applications ➔ More ➔ Office
2. Select one of the four Office Mobile® applications and
press the key. The folder options display.
3. When you downloaded your files, you selected where they
were stored. Select the folder and press the Open soft key.
A list of the files available displays.
4. Select the file you wish to open and press the Select soft
key.
The file will open.
Options available for each type of file vary slightly.
5. Use the Menu ➔ Close File option to exit the file.
Internet Sharing
Internet Sharing allows you to use your phone to get internet on
your PC.
1. On the Home screen, select Start ➔ More ➔ More ➔
Internet Sharing and press the key.
The Internet Sharing connection screen will display.
2. In the PC Connection field, use the Navigation key to select
either USB or Bluetooth PAN.
3. Press the Connect soft key.
4. The Status field with change to Connected after a
connection is made.
5. If using the USB setting, unplug the cable to your PC.
Your PC will now be using your phone to receive internet.
